What is the difference between cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing?"According to the CDC: 1. Cleaning removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces or objects. Cleaning works by using soap (or detergent) and water to physically remove germs from surfaces. This process does not necessarily kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection. 2. Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces or objects. Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces or objects. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection. 3. Sanitizing lowers the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a safe level, as judged by public health standards or requirements. This process works by either cleaning or disinfecting surfaces or objects to lower the risk of spreading infection. Source: CDC https://www.cdc.gov/flu/school/cleaning.htm

Do the units have to be vacant?Yes! All units, whether an apartment or office, must be unoccupied and vacant without personal effects. We only service vacant units. Ideal is on move-out or movie-in. If you have an unoccupied vacant unit, whether an apartment or office, that you would like sanitzed, please contact us for more information.

Do you clean carpets, upholstery, or curtains?"We are not cleaners and do not provide cleaning services. We recommend you contact companies that specialize in cleaning carpets or upholstery. We come in AFTER a unit has been clean and/or disinfected to sanitize the apartment or office and remove up to 99.9% of germs cleaning and disinfecting leave behind. We sanitize without chemicals and do not leave any chemicals or dangerous vapors behind. However, units must be cleaned prior to our entry. Uncleaned units will not be serviced and the fee will not be refunded.

Do the units have to be cleaned before you sanitize?Yes! Please read Question #1. Sanitizing is most effective after cleaning. Cleaning should be your first step to remove dust, garbage, and other dirt on surfaces. This includes carpet and upholstery. Cleaning works by using soap (or detergent) and water to physically *remove* germs from surfaces (1) when done properly--which in most cases it is not, even by professional cleaners. Rags are often carried from one surface to another, carrying germs from one place to the next. Even when done properly, this process does not necessarily kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection. Ideally, your cleaners will use disinfectants. Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces or objects. Disinfecting works by using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces or objects. This process *does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs*, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection. (2) This is why sanitizing is absolutely essential. Sanitizing lowers the number of germs on surfaces or objects to a safe level, as judged by public health standards or requirements.(3) We use 327 degrees Farenheit steam to kill remaining germs, a powerful jet stream to manage it, and industrial paper towels--not rags--to dry them. We also discard the paper towels after each surface.
